Have the Cowboys actually become a better franchise?

The Dallas Cowboys have often been laughed at and criticized, when they weren’t winning Super Bowls of course, for being a team that went out and made the most flash in the pan moves to try and get it done.

That narrative, though, had begun to change over the last several seasons or so, such as smarter drafting, building the team the right way (on the backs of the running game and the offensive front), and other little small nuance-filled things that display a team being run the proper way, so to speak.

Even when Tony Romo was coming down to his final snaps, someone Jerry Jones has certainly shown a ton of loyalty to, they played the better option as soon as he was the better option for them in Dak Prescott.

The Cowboys have just made a ton of, outright, good football choices in recent years, something they didn’t always do.

Outside of a forced contract snafu-turned long-term deal with Ezekiel Elliott, the Cowboys were looking like a completely differently ran organization for a while there.
