The Dallas Cowboys are heading into an important season for them. It’s not that there is any sort of milestone or marker out there to hit, it’s just that they played so terribly last season and notably on defense, that they have to show a great bit of improvement in the coming year.

With a new defensive coordinator in tow, Dan Quinn, and their starting signal-caller back under center in Dak Prescott, the Dallas Cowboys might just have a chance to get some things done. In order to get any of that done though, they’ll need the entire team to chip in and do their jobs.

While that statement stands for every guy at every position on the team, there is one guy that it applies to more than any other. That would be Ezekiel Elliott.

For several reasons, Ezekiel Elliott needs to have a special, load-bearing, and resurgent season. It might just be the only way that the Dallas Cowboys are able to accomplish anything of real merit.
