• Height/Weight: 6-2, 320 lbs.

• Round 3, Pick 35

Four shots, four defensive picks. How do you like that? Here, the Dallas Cowboys recommit to the meaning of “Big D.”

Who is Alim McNeill?

The defensive tackle played three seasons with NC State. He is from Raleigh, North Carolina. For his college career, McNeill totaled 77 tackles, five pass deflections, 10 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one interception.

In 2020, he earned AP Second-team All-American and First-team All-ACC awards. In high school, he played running back (hello, big fella) and linebacker. He also played baseball.

Athletic powers…

I’ve put a lot of emphasis on fixing the secondary positions. In 2020, the Cowboys finished the season with 31 sacks, putting the team towards the bottom of the pack. The Steelers led the NFL with 56 sacks, while the Bengals finished last with 17 sacks.

Simply put: The Cowboys need to add pressure on the defensive front. The team needs a big fella in the middle, someone to push the pile and add pressure up the middle. Enter Alim McNeill in the third round.

Must Read. 3 free agents the Cowboys could still re-sign in Dallas. light
