Trade scenario #2

• Dallas Cowboys 2021 first-round pick
• Dallas Cowboys 2021 third-round pick
• Running back Tony Pollard

Quick Analysis

Man, if you thought that Dallas was loaded at the receiver position, you may have forgotten the running back’s room. Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard are set to redefine the one-two punch attack. Good luck scheming against this dynamic duo!

The Cowboys spent a 2019 fourth-round pick on Pollard. He played in 15 games, accomplishing 455 rushing yards on 86 totes. He scored three touchdowns for Dallas.

Like Gallup, Tony Pollard is a defining piece in the overall Dallas architecture. In 2019, he was arguably underused, so his ceiling is still unknown. Additionally, new head coach Mike McCarthy may find interesting ways to expand on his utility skills.

In this package, the Cowboys forfeit a first and third-round pick in 2021. Big D has been very efficient in drafting talent over the years (which includes Pollard and Gallup!). Losing two high picks in 2021 is a steep price, considering how well the franchise has drafted as of late.

But the Dallas Cowboys could be one player away from a championship. Is safety Jamal Adams that one player, the true chosen one? Well, the Cowboys have a chance to find out.
