5 positions of need the Dallas Cowboys could trade for
Position of Need: Backup Quarterback
Fans found out what life without offensive tackles La’el Collins and Tyron Smith would be like this past Sunday. Let’s hope we don’t have to find out what it’s like without Dak Prescott under center too.

Unfortunately, that nightmare could quickly become a reality if the Cowboys continue to allow their fourth-year quarterback to get punished in the pocket.
The Cowboys currently only have two quarterbacks on their active roster. Prescott and third-year passer Cooper Rush. Dallas does have rookie Clayton Thorson on their practice squad.
An undrafted rookie passer out of Central Michigan in 2017, Rush beat out 2018 fifth-rounder Mike White for the backup role this summer. White was waived by Dallas during final cuts and is now a member of the New York Jets’ practice squad.
Despite it being Rush’s third year with the Cowboys he has next to no real NFL experience, having thrown just three pass attempts in the regular season since entering the league. That lack of experience could prod the Cowboys into making a move for a veteran passer.
It seems that some still believe if the Dallas Cowboys lose Dak Prescott, and the team is still in playoff contention, his potential replacement could be manning a CBS broadcast booth on the weekends. But the longer the former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo remains out of football, the less likely it would be he’d unretire and return to the game as a player.
