#5. Can you talk about the status of the Giants’ defense and the changes they’ve made? Also, share a bit about the offensive line. Will it be much-improved?

CV: I believe the defense will be better, but it’s likely still a bottom-half unit. Our strength is our ability to feel comfortable putting our corners in man coverage situations, as Deandre Baker and Janoris Jenkins should be fine without much help.

On the flip side, even the best cover corners will struggle in this era without a solid pass-rush. There will only be so much they can do. If Dexter Lawrence can provide some pop on the defensive line and eat up blockers (with the occasional pressure up the middle), it’s going to make life easier for everyone.

The offensive line figures to finally be one of the better groups in the league. Kevin Zeitler and Will Hernandez can hold their own with the best in the game and really limit interior pressure (which is Eli’s Achilles heel).

I’ve got serious questions about Mike Remmers at right tackle, as I’m not nearly as high on him as others. He’ll get a huge first test this week against DeMarcus Lawrence. If we do have a successful season, the offensive line will be a humongous part of it.
