The Dallas Cowboys coaching staff has been preparing their players for this moment. Now, it’s time for players to show they belong in this league.

At this time every season Dallas Cowboys fan base have their players in training camp they believe should make the 53 man roster. Well, now is the time for those players to step up and show everyone on national TV that they belong in the NFL. As they say it time to put up or shut up!

Players like potential back up quarterback Mike White who many believe should be first in line to back up starting quarterback Dak Prescott. White has the best skill sets of all of the quarterbacks fighting for this spot. But, he hasn’t been able to separate himself or even jump ahead of the current back up Cooper Rush in training camp.

If White isn’t able to show that he can outperform Rush then it might be time for the Cowboys to move on and find another player that can.

Another player that could get the boot from the Dallas Cowboys is running back Darius Jackson. After the signing of Alfred Morris and the emergence of rookie Tony Pollard, Jackson is in a battle with rookie Mike Weber and Jordan Chunn for a spot on this roster. Jackson has the experience, but the Cowboys have cut him before and if he can’t have a better showing than them he could be as good as gone.

The final player that needs to really prove his worth is kicker Brett Maher, who hasn’t had any competition in training camp. Reports out of camp haven’t been great for Maher, who has been good from 40 yards and out but missing kicks from inside the 30-yard line. Not good news for fans to here or the Cowboys who believe they have built a Super Bowl ready team.

If Maher can’t ease the uncertainty at the kicker position then it may be time for the Cowboys to start shopping for another option. Or at least bring in another leg to create a kicking competition in camp.
