DEFENSE

Left Defensive End- DeMarcus Lawrence 6’3 251 lbs 26 years old

Coming off by far his best professional season, the Cowboys will rely heavily on Lawrence to lead their pass rush. After placing the franchise tag on him this offseason, this will be a big year for Lawrence to see if he can replicate his 2017 success.

One Technique Defensive Tackle- Tyrone Crawford 6’4 285 lbs 28 years old

Here is the first wrinkle in the new Dallas defense. I think that with the injury to Maliek Collins, the Cowboys will slide Tyrone Crawford back inside, and let him play back at the defensive tackle position in 2018.

Three Technique Defensive Tackle- David Irving 6’7 286 lbs 24 years old

Here is my pick for the Cowboys breakout player on defense. I think David Irving is going to have a monster 2018 season and record double digit sacks. Irving is freakishly athletic and when he was able to stay on the field had outstanding production, recording seven sacks in eight games.

Right Defensive End- Randy Gregory 6’5 235 lbs 25 years old

Another change to the Dallas defense, and this one is a shocker. I think after Randy Gregory applies for reinstatement to the NFL, he will be granted it, and come back and instantly impress the Cowboys coaches. There has never been a doubt about Gregory’s talent, and if he is able to get back in the NFL, I believe his talent will shine making him the Cowboys starting right end.
