With the Dallas Cowboys set to make their first real free agency addition of the offseason, could a flurry of signings soon follow? If so, here are six names to watch.

Late Wednesday night, the Dallas Cowboys announced they had come to a two-year agreement with former Green Bay Packers’ linebacker Joe Thomas. The 26-year old represents the Cowboys first expected signing in free agency, outside of their own roster that is.

The Cowboys are the last to the free agency table. But could this recent news be a sign that Dallas is finally ready to become actual players in the open market? If so, here are six names we think fans should monitor as possible new additions to America’s Team soon.

NaVorro Bowman, Linebacker

The Cowboys were set to host a visit from Bowman last season when he was released from the San Francisco 49ers. Instead, his first visit, with the Oakland Raiders, became his last. The 29-year old linebacker racked up an incredible 89 tackles, 1.5 sacks and an interception in 10 games for the Raiders in 2017. Bowman could easily fill the void at middle linebacker left by Anthony Hitchens.

Bennie Logan, Defensive Tackle

A longtime member of the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cowboys are well aware of the abilities of Logan. The 6-foot-2, 315 pound run-stuffer is a perfect one-technique who also possesses some ability to rush the passer. Logan appears to be exactly what the Cowboys could use on the interior of their defensive line. He posted 52 total tackles and 1.5 sacks last season for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Tre Boston, Safety

The 25-year old Boston had a breakout season for the Los Angeles Chargers last year, racking up career-highs in tackles (79) and interceptions (5). The Cowboys are in desperate need for a difference-maker at safety. And with the slow market for the position, this offseason could be the perfect time for Dallas to find themselves a good one at a decent price.

Terrelle Pryor, Wide Receiver

Rumored to possibly be Seattle-bound, the Cowboys should pick up the phone and schedule a visit with Pryor. Although he was terrible in Washington last season, recording 20 receptions for 240 yards and one score, the former quarterback had a breakout year for the Cleveland Browns in 2016. That’s worth revisiting.

Cameron Fleming, Tackle

This one is a no-brainer. This is a player who started in the Super Bowl last season. The Cowboys need a swing tackle. Fleming would be an excellent choice. If the 25-year old wants to start at right tackle, shift La’el Collins back to left guard. Regardless, Fleming would be a gigantic upgrade over the inconsistent disaster Chaz Green has become.

Kenny Vaccaro, Safety

The Cowboys reportedly tried to trade for Vaccaro last season. So what’s changed? A very cooling free agent market for safeties could mean the former first round pick out of Texas might be able to be signed for a song.
