All the Suspended Players

This is clearly the number one disappointment for the Dallas Cowboys as the season approaches. The prospect of being without the league’s leading rusher in running back Ezekiel Elliott for six games is almost unfathomable. And potentially season ruining.

And whether you believe Zeke deserves the suspension or not, if he’s guilty of domestic violence or not, you have to concede that his actions outside of that alleged incident and the situations he continues to put himself in are highly questionable. They don’t benefit him or the team.

Now throw in a four game suspension for emerging defensive lineman David Irving, a two-game ban for surprising pass rusher Damontre Moore and lingering suspensions for both cornerback Nolan Carroll and linebacker Damien Wilson; and what you have is a whole season full of disappointment.

And let’s not forget the disaster that is the year-long plus ban for former second round selection, defensive end Randy Gregory.

The ignorance, immaturity, and bad decision-making displayed by this group of individuals has gone long past ridiculous. It’s sad. Yes, we all make mistakes. But we all don’t have the opportunities these world class athletes, many of whom are millionaires, have.

It’s a rare gift that these individuals have chosen to risk. And their mistakes not only hurt themselves, but the ones they love, their teammates, the franchise and it’s fans. You, gentlemen, are the biggest disappointments of all.
