Most Shocking Pick of the Draft

Tie – WR’s – Ryan Switzer – North Carolina and Noah Brown – Ohio State

Just last week, I wrote about how the wide receiver position was one that did not need to be addressed in this draft.

For one, this team is built around the offensive line and the running game.  For another, four different guys had 40+ receptions last year.  That is all while taking into account that star Dez Bryant missed three games.

Not only did the Dallas Cowboys draft one receiver, they drafted two.  Switzer and Brown are both nice players who may serve as replacements for Lucky Whitehead and Brice Butler, respectively.

Whitehead’s value to the team is mostly in relation to special teams.  Switzer finished his college career with seven punt returns for touchdown.  Brown has a similar size to Butler who is on a one-year deal.  Both Whitehead and Butler have shown at times to make careless decisions on and off the field.

Consider these additions a wake up at least and a possible replacement depending on camp performances.
