#5 – DeMarcus Lawrence, Defensive End

An injury racked rookie year meant the 2014 second round draft pick DeMarcus Lawrence never quite got going in Dallas.

After spending the offseason in the gym and returning to camp looking like a monster of a man, fans were foaming at the mouth to see just what D-Law was capable of.

Many were disappointed when after eight games Lawrence had just one sack and rarely flashed in games.

But in the final eight games the left defensive end racked up 7.0 sacks giving him a season total of 8.0.

The most on the team.

That left end spot isn’t always the one renowned for getting sacks.

But if the Cowboys can either bring on Randy Gregory, get more from Greg Hardy or any other player at the right end; a contribution of 10-12 sacks a season from D-Law wouldn’t be out of the question.
