Prediction: This could possibly be considered a must win game for the Dallas Cowboys and could ultimately have a huge impact on the team’s playoff chances.

Offensively if offensive coordinator Scott Linehan continues to try to protect quarterback Brandon Weeden by implementing a game plan that consists of short dink and dunk passes it will be a long day at the Superdome. That would be playing right into the hands of the New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan.

Ryan would enjoy nothing more than to load the box to stop the Cowboys rushing attack and blitz Weeden.

The Cowboys will surely want to establish the running game but they have to be willing to let Weeden take shots down the field in the passing game.

Defensively for the Cowboys, they will have to prepare as if quarterback Drew Brees is going to be starting and will have to do a much better job of stopping the running game.

Fortunately for the defense, the secondary doesn’t have to prepare for a wide receiver that can take over the game the way that Julio Jones did last week for the Atlanta Falcons.

The defense will be bound and determined to put last week’s performance behind them and come out with an attitude to completely dominate the Saints offense.

This will be another hard-fought game in more than likely back-and-forth until the final seconds tick off the clock.

I think the Cowboys come away with a win narrowly escaping another disappointing loss.

Final Score: Dallas Cowboys 27, New Orleans Saints 24
