6. Quintin Demps, Safety

Drafted: 2008, 4th round
Previous Team: New York Giants
2014 Stats: 57 tkls, 4 ints
2014 Salary: $730K

Analysis: If you don’t sign Stevie Brown, why not sign the player who replaced him for the majority of the season last year? Veteran safety Quintin Demps recorded a career high 57 tackles in 2014 for the Giants.

Now looking for his fifth NFL team in seven years, Demps started in nine games for New York last season. He also recorded three tackles and had 12 kickoff returns on special teams.

Certainly not a top-tier safety, bringing in a bargain priced player like Demps adds some much needed veteran depth to the safety position that currently consists of Jeff Heath and Keith Smith behind the starters.
