Analysis: The Cowboys have reported interest in Robinson, having signed his teammate in New Orleans’ cornerback Corey White over the weekend. But the former first round pick out of Florida State has struggled with inconsistency throughout his five-year career.
Despite those issues, five other NFL teams have also had reported interest in signing Robinson this offseason. With the Saints last season, the veteran cornerback only started in six games after being demoted to their defense’s nickel package after Week Two.
Even with the Cowboys’ defensive backfield in flux this offseason, I don’t see Robinson’s addition as anything more than a glorified back-up.
