Written by theMBIIIeffect Last night, a friend of mine asked me to pick who would be playing in the Super Bowl. It’s a tough pick any way you look at it and, chances are, I’ll be wrong. There are, however, some things that won’t be so hard to predict. Especially within the Dallas Cowboys. 1. Marion Barber will run through somebody, Felix Jones will run past somebody and Tashard Choice will make somebody trying to tackle him miss: Marion Barber is healthy again and looking slimmer and faster than last season. Felix Jones is a pure speed guy and Tashard [...]
Roy Williams Out For Preseason
This is getting scary, folks. If Roy Williams cannot stay healthy, who knows what will happen with the Dallas Cowboys. But giving away so much for him is looking more and more like a little boo-boo on Jerry Jones’ resume. ESPN reports that the X-rays were negative, but the Cowboys will keep Williams out from preseason games as a precaution. Williams collided with cornerback Orlando Scandrick during practice, injuring his shoulder. So who on the Cowboys wide out roster is going to step up this year? I have this feeling that our two tight ends might lead the team in [...]
If you follow the Dallas Cowboys intern Zach on Twitter then you probably already know that linebacker Bobby Carpenter was out of practice today because he has poison ivy … in his eye. Yes. His Eye. But, as of yet, no one knows how he got poison ivy in his eye. Sure, the obvious answer is his eye made contact with one of those dangerous leaves. But let’s try to be more accurate and figure out how he got it. The best answer wins a 3×5 Flag from CVSFlags. CVS Flags was kind enough to send me one of their [...]
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo sure is prepping himself to be the true leader of this dysfunctional football team. There’s a lot of talent on this team, and there has been since Romo starting take snaps full-time for the Cowboys in 2006. He’s ditched his blonde bimbo girlfriend. He’s playing excellent football in preseason, with a QB rating of 105. He hasn’t had any turnovers. And he’s got Felix Jones behind him, a player who is really starting to grab attention as a true playmaker comparable to former running back Tony Dorsett. The Cowboys desperately need a leader and Troy [...]
Dallas Cowboys Punter Mat McBriar Doesn’t Give a Crap about the Video Screen, So Why Does The NFL?
If anyone ought to be complaining about the height of the Cowboys Stadium Video Screen, it should be Mat McBriar. But he really doesn’t care. Really. “Our game plan is to kick to the sidelines. So for myself it’s not in my mind,” Cowboys punter Mat McBriar said Monday. “I know it’s there, obviously. But it’s not something that catches my eye as much as guys who are kicking straight down the field.” Instead, the NFL has launched a review of the screen that it inspected and improved months earlier. This all comes after a Titans punter hit the screen–purposely! [...]

Dallas Cowboys Winners and Losers of Preseason Game #2
Written by theMBIIIeffect On Friday night, the Dallas Cowboys beat the Tennessee Titans 30-10. But in the NFL preseason, it isn’t about the final result: it’s about the individual performances. At the first Cowboys game in Jerry Jones’ masterpiece stadium, a true billion-dollar baby, there were some individual winners. And there were some losers. Thankfully, there were more winners than losers Winner #1: Dallas Cowboy fans Take a look at that new stadium! Wow. Just wow. There is nothing like that place in the entire NFL. Everyone from Fox Sports gushed about it at some point, as they should have. [...]
Dallas Cowboys Brandon Williams Out For Season
Dallas Cowboys rookie linebacker Brandon Williams tore a ligament in his knee and will likely miss the entire season. Williams was a fourth-round pick from Texas Tech. He was injured trying to make a tackle on a punt return against Tennessee last night. The Cowboys will likely rotate Victor Butler and Steve Octavien for the strong side. The Cowboys third-string quarterback, Stephen McGee, sprained his knee. He may miss a week. At least he suffered the injury as he threw a touchdown pass, his first.
Cowboys Stadium Video Screen Too Big?
The video screen in the new $1.2 billion Cowboys Stadium has caused a storm of controversy after a Tennessee Titans punter kicked the ball into the massive screen yesterday. Titans coach Jeff Fischer said the screen will have to be raised. But Cowboys owner Jerry Jones defending the set up, saying the league inspected and approved its size. Jones argued that a punter would have to try to hit the screen. Cowboys punter Mat McBriar did not come close to hitting the screen. It begs the question: Are the Titans trying to sabotage the Cowboys new stadium? Did Fischer order [...]
What Is Wrong With You Nick Folk?
Who would have thought Dallas Cowboys kicker Nick Folk would miss two field goals so far this preseason. He just missed a 49 yarder, hitting the upright. The Cowboys for years showed a desperate need for a field goal kicker who could knock one in from over 45 yards. As a rookie, he knocked one in from 53 yards.
