The New England Patriots continue to struggle after the worst upset in Super Bowl history. The latest news is that Patriots defensive back Willie Andrews was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at his girlfriend’s head. You can read the scoop here. Isn’t that great? Are we surprised? Nope.
This is disgusting, if true. It’s that thuggish, invincible attitude that got these guys in trouble in the first place. Now this?

You don’t think Adam Jones has turned a new leaf? His first test came Monday when the racist radio jock Imus took a shot at the cornerback during his radio show. We’ve already heard the story here, but it was Adam’s response that shook the NFL world.
He will pray for Imus. God Bless His Soul. It doesn’t matter the guy is going to hell anyway. But Adam Jones is already showing that he’s not going to be ruffled by idiots.

According to the bottom of this article he is close to an endorsement deal with Starter sportswear that would give him his own clothing line and shoes.

You can’t teach an old dog new tricks, and shock jock Don Imus is learning that the hard way.

During an on-air conversation Monday about the arrests of Jones, who is suspended, Imus asked, “What color is he?”
Told by sports announcer Warner Wolf that Jones, who used to be nicknamed Pacman, is “African-American,” Imus responded: “There you go. Now we know.”

The days are gone when statements like that pull laughs. It’s blatant racism, pure and simple. Adam has every right to be furious. But the cornerback formerly known as Pac Man is taking the high road.

Cowboy-hat wearing radio jock Don Imus is back in the hot seat after what may be insensitive–wait, they are insensitive–remarks about Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam Jones. For those unaware of the scandal brewing, here is a recap:

There are actually more than five overrated players in the NFL. So coming up with just five isn’t very difficult. How these players even get the attention they get is beyond me. But it usually has to do with either where they were drafted in the NFL draft or which team they play on.
With that said, the Landry Hat presents to you the five most overrated players in the NFL in no particular order of overrated-ness:

Unbelievable. That was my initial feeling when I read this post from longtime blogging friend Brian Miller.
Miller, a Miami Dolphins fan (I know, it’s funny), claims that the Dallas Cowboys have horrible safeties. It doesn’t matter that both of our safeties made the Pro Bowl. Nah. They suck. He said the Dolphins have better safeties.
So while those “listed” safeties on the Cowboys site are hardly anything to sneeze at, they are not a blistering list of Super Bowl bound safeties either and if you compare them to the Miami Dolphins, well, at least in experience…yeah we got Dem Boyz’.
