Just when you thought the NFL news cycle couldn't get any more dormant, the Dallas Cowboys may have found a way to wake everyone up.

Out of nowhere on Wednesday, Von Miller shared a photo to his Instagram story wearing a No. 24 Cowboys jersey. No caption. Three teasing emojis. That's it.

You've probably got a lot of questions. So do we.

Is Miller breaking his own news? Are the Cowboys and Miller actually in talks? If so, is an Adam Schefter notification inbound? Is the DeSoto native nudging Jerry Jones to make a move? Or is he simply trolling everyone?

We have no idea, but it won't be long before everyone is trying to figure it out. That is surely already in progress.

Now 37 years old, Miller obviously isn't the game-wrecker he was in his prime, but he's still got juice off the edge. The seven-time All-Pro spent the 2025 campaign with the Washington Commanders, and though their pass rush underwhelmed, Miller was not to blame.

In a part-time role, he finished the year with nine sacks, 36 pressures, 15 quarterback hits, and 22 hurries, per Pro Football Focus' advanced stats. He added a 67.2 PFF run-defense grade and 17 defensive stops, showing he can still set the edge in his late 30s. That production would have rivaled Jadeveon Clowney for the best on the Cowboys.

If you're asking if the Cowboys should sign Miller, the answer is an unequivocal yes. He'd be the most accomplished pass rusher on the roster. Not to mention, he crossed paths with defensive coordinator Christian Parker in Denver and has plenty of experience with pass-rush specialist BT Jordan.

Simply put, Dallas' pass rush needs more juice, and Miller proved with Washington that he's got some left in the tank.

The Cowboys hope to build their pass rush around 2025 second-round pick Donovan Ezeiruaku, but he's not yet at that point in his development. Similarly, Malachi Lawrence, while impressive, is a rookie. Rashan Gary is the most well-rounded EDGE on the team, but he's better served as a No. 2 pass rusher.

If there is mutual interest between Miller and Dallas, it needs to get done. Even in a part-time role, Miller's acumen and pedigree could do wonders for Parker's defense.
