Are you not entertained?! The Dallas Cowboys are very much alive this season after a thrilling 24-21 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. They scored 24 unanswered after digging themselves a 21-0 hole early in the second quarter. It's tied for the largest comeback win in franchise history.

So many players stepped up, but George Pickens stood the tallest as running mate CeeDee Lamb battled through another case of the drops against the Eagles. Pickens hauled in nine passes for 146 yards and a touchdown.

That included the 24-yard catch and run on 2nd-and-10 with 1:35 left in regulation to get the Cowboys into field goal range. On the call for FOX, Tom Brady noted that Pickens dusted Quinyon Mitchell on a slant route, which has become an unstoppable play in Brian Schottenheimer's playbook.

“His best route, a slant route," Brady said of Pickens. "He’s on Quinyon Mitchell, who gets bumped into, and Pickens does the rest. Good, decisive throw by Dak; cuts it loose on the blitz, knows he doesn’t have a lot of time. And now you have Brandon Aubrey."

Tom Brady said the quiet part out loud about Cowboys WR George Pickens on game-winning play

Pickens doesn't have a substantive route tree, but he is virtually unguardable on slants. It's only fitting that a Prescott-to-Pickens slant effectively won the game for Dallas. It's worked all year. Why not go to it with the game on the line?

For any Cowboys fans who want another look (how could you not?), here you go:

Poetry in motion.

There's a larger discussion to be had about Pickens overtaking CeeDee Lamb as the Cowboys' top receiver. It's a massive topic among NFL fans on social media. It sure seems that Pickens has taken the reins, but it's not for a lack of effort from Prescott.

Lamb finished the game with 11 targets, two more than Pickens. And it was Lamb who should've played hero. He dropped a 3rd-and-goal pass that Prescott put right on his shoulder pad. Yes, it was thrown into a lot of traffic, but the throw was made, and Lamb is getting paid to make the difficult catches.

Lamb's performance was obviously an anomaly compared to the norm, but it boldly underlines Pickens' importance in the offense. He's their most important player on that side of the ball right now and has been for a while.
