3. Stephon Gilmore, Dallas Cowboys
This is where the ranking get interesting because the remaining three corners can be argued for the top spot. But Gilmore comes in at the third spot entering his 12th NFL season.
If we were just going off of career accomplishments, Gilmore would definitely be at the top of this list. He has a Defensive Player of the Year award to his name with five Pro Bowl selections and two first-team All-Pro selections.
Despite Gilmore being out of his prime, he can still perform at a high level. CBS Sports ranked the 33-year-old as the 10th-best cornerback entering the 2023 season over players like Tre'Davious White (Bills), Marshon Lattimore (Saints), and A.J. Terrell (Falcons).
Last season with the Colts, Gilmore had 66 tackles and two interceptions. His performance against the Cowboys in 2022 might have also been a big reason the team acquired him. He had one interception, two passes deflected, and did a nice job when guarding Lamb in that game.
Gilmore will finally give Dallas another elite corner in the secondary, and the team is hoping that can carry them far into the postseason.
