The NFC East was surprisely one of the best divisions in football last season.

The Dallas Cowboys (12-5), Philadelphia Eagles (14-3), New York Giants (9-7-1), and Washington Commanders (8-8-1) all finished the regular season with a .500 record or better. The Cowboys, Eagles, and Giants also all made the Divisional Round in 2022.

The division simply went from the NFC Least to the NFC Beasts in the span of two years. Most of the NFC East teams are expected to compete for a playoff spot in 2023, excluding the Commanders who should be at the bottom.

The Cowboys and Eagles are the favorites to win the NFC East, and the Giants come in right behind them both. But which teams in the division enter the season with the best cornerbacks?

5. Adoree' Jackson, New York Giants

The fifth spot was tough to come up with. But Jackson felt like the right choice given his resurgence in New York. In a couple of seasons, Giants rookie Deonte Banks and/or Commanders rookie Emmanuel Forbes could find themselves on this list in no time.

Jackson was the 18th overall pick by the Tennessee Titans in the 2017 NFL Draft. He showed plenty of promise in Tennessee in his rookie season. However, injuries really limited his ceiling before the Titans cut him during the 2021 offseason.

Then the Giants signed Jackson to a three-year deal. Despite still dealing with injuries -- missing 12 games over the past two seasons -- the 27-year-old also seems to contribute when on the field.

Jackson is a speedy, athletic, and physical corner for the Giants. He had 51 tackles, seven passes deflected with one forced fumble in 10 games last season.

The Giants' cornerback also did a fantastic job in the postseason, locking down Minnesota Vikings wideout Justin Jefferson (seven catches for 47 yards) and Philadelphia Eagles wideout A.J. Brown (three catches for 22). He allowed 415 yards in total last season, 117 of which came at the hands of CeeDee Lamb.

The Giants will definitely need Jackson to stay healthy and perform consistency this season.
