Is the 2023 season finally the Dallas Cowboys' year?

One bettor in Illinois sure seems to think so, as they wagered $3,000 on America's Team to win the Super Bowl at Caesar's Sportsbook. Dallas is +1600 to win the Super Bowl, so the bet would win the bettor $48,000 if Dallas hoists the Lombardi Trophy next February.

While the Cowboys have fallen short in the playoffs for the last two decades, Dallas is actually among the top contenders in the odds to win the Super Bowl this season.

Dak Prescott and company sit behind just the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers in the latest odds.

Dallas Cowboys' odds to win the Super Bowl

Entering the season at sixth in the Super Bowl odds when the defending NFC Champion is in your divison is pretty impressive.

Dallas made some really great moves this offseason, adding veteran receiver Brandin Cooks in a trade and signing veteran cornerback Stephon Gilmore to a one-year deal. The Cowboys also kept Leighton Vander Esch, Tony Pollard, Donovan Wilson and some other key contributors from last season's team.

The team also parted ways with Ezekiel Elliott, a move that needed to be made with the emergence of Pollard last season. Hopefully, it will boost Dallas' offense to new heights in the 2023 season.

For this bettor, they could be taking advantage of the best odds available on Dallas entering the season. If the Cowboys get off to a hot start, they will almost certainly move to shorter odds than +1600.

Plus, the Cowboys are usually a very public team to bet on, so getting in on the ground floor is a good move, it's not up to Dak and company to win the franchise its first Super Bowl since the 1995 season.
