Shocking NFC East odds leave one last chance to bet on Cowboys at plus money
Few teams have looked more impressive than the Dallas Cowboys through the first two weeks.
Not only are they 2-0, but they've looked completely dominant in those two games, winning by a combined score of 70-10.
As a result, the Cowboys are now listed as co-favorites to win the NFC East, alongside the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are also 2-0, but the Cowboys impressive wins over the New York Giants and Jets has been enough to close the gap on the odds list.
NFC East odds
The Eagles started the season as the betting favorites to successfully defend their NFC East title, but the Cowboys have now matched their odds to be crowned kings of the East.
It also helps that both the Washington Commanders and New York Giants seem to be a step below, especially after the 40-0 drumming the Giants suffered at the hands of the Cowboys in Week 1.
If history repeats itself, things will look even more favorable for Dallas. The same team hasn't won the NFC East in two straight seasons since 2004, which is one of the craziest trends in the NFL. If that keeps up in 2023 it will mean the Eagles giving up the title, leaving the Cowboys open to claim it.
Leading the charge for Dallas this season has been its defense, which is given up just 3.5 yards per play through the first two weeks. Spearheading the unit has been Micah Parsons, who is an early frontrunner to win Defensive Player of the Year. He has three sacks, seven tackles, and a forced fumble already.
