1. Jabril Cox

Jabril Cox is now one of the main names fans should expect to get more playing time in the rotation. Cox came into Dallas with the expectations to be what most hoped Overshown would become. He has had a few moments so far this preseason.

He had two tackles against Jacksonville and also had a key quarterback pressure that forced a turnover on downs. Against Seattle, Cox finished second on the team in tackles for the game with seven. His snap number increased immediately when Overshown went down.

The LSU Tiger was drafted in the fourth round by Dallas in 2021, but things got off to a rough start his rookie year. Most considered Cox a late-round gem who could contribute right away. He saw the field mostly on special teams, but in Week 8 he suffered a torn ACL. He finished the year with only two tackles in seven games.

Returning from injury, most expected Cox to challenge for a spot as a starting linebacker. However, when the team signed Anthony Barr during camp, Cox found himself on the bench again. He appeared in nine games last season, totaling six tackles.

Most believe Cox still has the potential to contribute in Quinn's defense. His size and speed make him almost a clone of Overshown. However, after being passed over a few times Cox may not have much more time to make a move to the next level as a key contributor.

With a chance in front of him to take pressure off Clark, Cox needs to take advantage.
