4. Detroit Lions (4-1)

Not everyone will agree with this list. People might say, why are the Seahawks below the Lions if they beat them, or why are the Cowboys above the Lions even with a worse record? Those are all great points.

But for now, the Lions come in at number four on this list.

The Lions have no doubt been one of the strongest teams in the NFL through five weeks. Their only loss came against the Seahawks in Week 2. In that game, Detroit erased a double-digit deficit in the final four minutes to send the game into overtime.

After that, they’ve taken care of business by beating three teams they were favored against: Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay Packers, and Carolina Panthers. The Lions also beat the Chiefs on opening night.

The Lions have one of the best offenses in the NFL and rank fourth in points per game (29.6) so far this season. If they want to become a complete team, their defense will need to step up, and they’ll have the chance to show that with matchups against the Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers in the weeks ahead.
