5. Seattle Seahawks (3-1)

Debating here between the Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints (3-2) was a tough decision for the fifth spot. Both teams are good enough to make the playoffs, and both are certainly trending in that direction through five weeks. But the Seahawks are a slightly better team.

After Seattle lost to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1, they rattled off three straight wins, including an overtime road win against the Detroit Lions. The Seahawks were on a bye in Week 5, coming off an 11-sack defensive performance against the New York Giants on Monday.

It was the Giants, which doesn’t say much. However, if the Seahawks' defense could play like they did on Monday, Seattle will be in a much better spot in January than they were last year.

The Seahawks' schedule does get tough in the coming weeks. So, we’ll see who they really are. Following a trip to Cincinnati to face the Bengals this weekend, Seattle will face the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, and Baltimore Ravens over the next three weeks.
