The best time of the year is almost here. The Dallas Cowboys will take on the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football on Sept. 10 to kick off their season.

The Cowboys are currently preparing for their first preseason game on Aug. 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. They will play a total of three preseason games before their first regular season matchup in New York.

It's crazy to think that the Cowboys will play an actual game in just over one month. It's surely been a long offseason filled with many surprises.

The team acquired not one but two-star players this offseason in Brandin Cooks and Stephon Gilmore. Both players have already made a big impact during training camp and that should continue into the season.

Dallas also mutually parted ways with offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and let go of veteran Ezekiel Elliott. The offense might look slightly different this year with head coach Mike McCarthy now calling the plays and Tony Pollard finally handling a big workload out of the backfield.

But before the 2023 season begins, let's take a look at the most exciting games the Cowboys were a part of in 2022.

Honorable mentions: Divisional Round loss to the San Francisco 49ers (19-12) and Week 10 loss to the Green Bay Packers in overtime (31-28).
