Predicting every game remaining on Cowboys schedule after 4-2 start
By Randy Gurzi
Week 16 Dallas Cowboys at Miami Dolphins
This game is not going to be fun. While the San Francisco 49ers are just a terrible matchup for the Cowboys — especially when it comes to their defense — the Miami Dolphins are the same thing offensively. Dallas has a talented secondary but this team can go three or four deep at wideout. With Trevon Diggs out, that means they'll have some solid wideouts facing guys they weren't expecting to depend on. Plus, Mike McDaniel is one of the more creative play-callers and can find success over Dan Quinn.
Prediction: Dolphins 37, Cowboys 25
Record: 10-5
Week 17 Dallas Cowboys vs. Detroit Lions (Saturday Night)
Again, the loss the previous week serves as a huge motivator as the Cowboys host the Detroit Lions in Week 17. Dan Campbell has this team playing incredibly well and Jared Goff is one of the top quarterbacks in the league under offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. They keep it close against Dallas but in the end, the home team edges them out to secure win No. 11.
Prediction: Cowboys 31, Lions 28
Record: 11-5
Week 18 Dallas Cowboys at Washington Commanders
Earlier in the season, the Commanders nearly snuck out a win against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. Now, the two teams meet to close out the season. If Dallas still has a shot at the NFC East, they should be able to pull this one off. If not — and assuming a playoff spot is secure — it could be another ugly finish with some backups getting time. In this prediction, they're still alive in the East so they wind up with a convincing win.
Prediction: Cowboys 28, Commanders 17
Record: 12-5
