NFC Power Rankings: Have the Cowboys shown enough to be No. 1 entering Week 3?
10th Detroit Lions
Record: 1-1
Points per Game: 26.0 (10th in the league)
Points Against per Game: 28.5 (28th in the league)
The Lions came out with a strong showing against the defending champions to open the season with a win against the Kansas City Chiefs but now they find themselves on the losing end of a close game. The game was close against the Seahawks with the Lions coming up just short and losing their starting running back, which could make things a little bit tougher going forward while David Montgomery is on the shelf. This is a good team that will only get better as the season progresses, but they need more from that defense if they want to make real noise in the conference.
9th Seattle Seahawks
Record: 1-1
Points per Game: 25.0 (13th in the league)
Points Against per Game: 39.5 (29th in the league)
The Seahawks picked up a nice win against the Lions this weekend and looked like the offense we saw last season that was able to put up points against anyone. The one thing holding them back is this defense, the addition of Bobby Wagner doesn't seem to be helping them at the moment but if this offense can keep up this pace that will help keep this defense fresh in critical situations down the road as they continue to gel.
8th Los Angeles Rams
Record: 1-1
Points per Game: 26.5 (9th in the league)
Points Against per Game: 21.5 (12th in the league)
I don't think many people saw the Rams coming back so strong after such a poor showing last season and the loss of players. Head coach Sean McVay has done a great job of motivating his players and it's showing on the field. Once they get star wide receiver Cooper Kupp back this offense could be very dangerous and will give a lot of teams a run for their money. The defense is also doing a great job, not many would have thought that after trading away cornerback Jalen Ramsey this offseason but they are holding up well.
