NFC East quarterbacks ranked from worst to best after Week 3
By Jerry Trotta
2. Dak Prescott, Cowboys
Prescott would have ranked No. 1 if we published a Week 2 edition. Alas, he drops to second after Jalen Hurts and the Eagles moved to 3-0.
We're not a proponent of QB wins as a pertinent stat and Prescott wasn't on the top-five of list of reasons the Cowboys lost to the Cardinals. However, Prescott didn't do anything to help Dallas overcome a nightmare performance from the defense and 13 penalties as a team.
That might seem harsh, but it's hard to fight the Prescott fight after the offense finished 1-of-5 in the red zone and he threw a red zone interception. The Cardinals are better than folks gave them credit for, but that isn't anywhere close to good enough from Prescott and the offense.
The red zone woes are more of a Mike McCarthy issue and being down three offensive linemen only made Dak's job more difficult, but we've come to hold QB1 to a higher standard. Plenty of time for him to reclaim the top spot.
