NFC East pass rushes ranked from worst to best in 2023

The Dallas Cowboys have a deep stable of pass rushers, but is it enough to be the best in the NFC East heading into the 2023 season?

2. Dallas Cowboys

Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence, Dante Fowler, Dorance Armstrong, Sam Williams

In most divisions, the Cowboys would have come out on top in 2022 but that wasn't the case thanks to the Philadelphia Eagles leading the league in sacks. And while they lost Javon Hargrave and the Cowboys were somehow able to retain their top defensive free agents — including Dante Fowler — Dallas still can't claim the top spot.

That doesn't mean they won't be one of the top pass-rushing defenses in the NFL once again in 2023. In fact, they should be right up there with anyone.

Micah Parsons continues to lead the way as the former 12th overall pick now has 26.5 sacks in two seasons. He was first on the team with 13.5 last year and while he was the only player in Big D to crack double digits, there were several players getting in on the action.

Dorance Armstrong had a personal-best 8.5 sacks and DeMarcus Lawrence and Fowler each had six. They also saw rookie Sam Williams record four sacks but the expectations are much higher for him in 2023 after the light bulb seemed to go off for him late in the year.

For good measure, Dallas had five sacks from safety Donovan Wilson and four from defensive tackle Osa Odighuzuwa.

They're deep and can explode in a hurry but they still come in just behind the frustrating Philadelphia Eagles.
