CeeDee Lamb's absence was all the rage once Dallas Cowboys mandatory minicamp started, but Micah Parsons quickly stole the show when he addressed criticism he received for skipping OTAs. Even though Mike McCarthy felt that Parsons missed an opportunity to build chemistry with teammates, Parsons stood by his decision and was adamant that his presence wasn't necessary.

At the end of the day, Parsons missing a few voluntary practices isn't the end of the world. It doesn't change his value to the franchise or the team's perception of him.

Before long, the Cowboys will make Parsons the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history. Parsons may even seek to become the highest-paid non-QB ever now that Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson wears that crown.

Regardless, Parsons will be worth every price of that extension. It will hopefully be the first of multiple extensions he signs with Dallas.

The All-Pro even revealed this week that the Cowboys are the only team he wants to play for. However, he wrapped the statement by revealing the one team he would leave Dallas for if he went home at the tail-end of his career.

Micah Parsons reveals he would leave Cowboys for Steelers because of Mike Tomlin

A native of Harrisburg, PA, Parsons told Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star Telegram that he would spurn the rival Eagles for the Steelers. The 24-year-old named Mike Tomlin, the longest-tenured coach in the NFL, as to why he picked Pittsburgh in this hypothetical.

It's important to reiterate that Parsons does NOT want to leave the Cowboys. That national media might blow this quote out of proportion, but this was merely a fun exercise about Parsons' future and the thought of ever leaving Dallas.

Could Parsons have refrained from even mentioning the Steelers and Tomlin? Of course. That would've been the political way to go about it, but that's not who Parsons is. His candidness is refreshing, even if it may irk the old-school fan. It'd be one thing if Parsons didn't back it up on the field, but his pass-rush productivity coupled with his unapologetic honesty makes him one of the most captivating players in football.

The national media is going to run with this quote, but Mike Tomlin will (likely) be retired by the time Parsons' career is nearing the finish line. Furthermore, the Steelers already have an electric pass-rushing duo in T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith. They can't afford to pay Parsons nor do they need him.

More importantly, Parsons has no plans to leave the Cowboys now or in the future.
