It's finally a busy time in the world of the Dallas Cowboys.

The first practice of training camp is Wednesday, and players and fan bases have taken to social media in droves to react to Madden 24's player ratings. The long-standing EA Sports franchise has developed a reputation of making controversial decisions at every position.

On paper, the NFC East is relatively easy to predict this season. The Eagles and Cowboys are established as the class of the division, while the Giants are trending upward under Brian Daboll and Washington is widely expected to bring up the rear, though the sale of the franchise has fans hopeful again.

With ample talent scattered across the division, let's see how the Cowboys stack up against their rivals in Madden 24, shall we?

Quarterbacks

  1. Jalen Hurts, Eagles (88)
  2. Dak Prescott, Cowboys (87)
  3. Daniel Jones, Giants (75)
  4. Sam Howell, Commanders (66)

Hurts was always going to ascend up the rankings after his sensational 2022. He was the driving force behind the Eagles' run to the Super Bowl and finished top-three in MVP voting. That said, Cowboys fans should be pleased with Prescott's 87 overall rating. It's the seventh-best among quarterbacks, behind Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Hurts, and Justin Herbert, respectively.

Giants fans, though, feel slighted with Jones' 75 rating, and rightly so. He fell outside the top 10 behind guys like Justin Fields, Ryan Tannehill, and Jimmy Garoppolo after leading the Giants to their first playoff win since 2011.

No fuss about Sam Howell after he made one start in 2022 as a rookie.
