The Dallas Cowboys may have fallen short of their ultimate goal this past season, but that doesn't mean this isn't a tight-knit group. The offseason presents a great time for players and coaches alike to hit the reset button and clear their minds before training camp gets underway in late July.

For Dak Prescott, though, he's expected to become a father in the very near future. That incredible bookmark in Prescott's life will be followed by another as he's widely expected to sign the richest contract in NFL history before the start of the new league year on March 13.

As it turns out, another Cowboys player celebrated a life milestone recently. Safety Malik Hooker married longtime girlfriend Dayonna Dixon over the weekend. Hooker posted an Instagram that featured a multitude of current and former Cowboys teammates celebrating the newlyweds.

Among those in attendance? Ezekiel Elliott, Tony Pollard, Donovan Wilson, Jayron Kearse, Dorance Armstrong, Jourdan Lewis, Neville Gallimore, Anthony Brown, Juanyeh Thomas and C.J. Goodwin.

Current and former Cowboys celebrate Malik Hooker's wedding, including Ezekiel Elliott

There's something about Elliott reuniting with former Cowboys teammates that punctuates this picture. It's been a while since all of these Cowboys were in the same room together, so we can only imagine how much of a blast they had celebrating Hooker and Dixon.

Sadly, a lot of the players pictured will be former teammates come March. Of those in attendance, only Hooker, Wilson and Thomas are under contract in 2024. Elliott and Brown are obviously already gone, but Pollard, Kearse, Armstrong, Gallimore, Lewis and Goodwin are all set to enter free agency.

It's highly possible that the Cowboys don't re-sign any of those players. Of that group, Armstrong likely has the best odds of re-upping his contract. A special teams ace, Goodwin could always return on another one-year deal, too, but even that's up in the air after he suffered a season-ending pectoral injury in October.

This is all part of playing in the NFL, though. Teammates will come and go, but the friendships that form over the course of multiple seasons sharing a locker room are unbreakable.

Congratulations to Hooker and Dixon.
