How to watch Steelers vs. Cowboys in Week 5 with and without cable
By Jerry Trotta
The Dallas Cowboys got back in the win column last Thursday with a narrow victory over the New York Giants. It was anything but a convincing performance, but the NFL is a week-to-week league. There should be no apologizing for picking up a gritty road win on a short week.
Having said that, the Cowboys will need to clean up their act this week as they play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football. This is a matchup between two of the most recognizable franchises in sports. Together they have won a combined 11 Super Bowls.
Unfortunately, both teams are decimated by injuries. Already down Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence on DaRon Bland, the Cowboys will also be without wide receiver Brandin Cooks, who developed an infection in his knee following a procedure he had done last week.
The Steelers, meanwhile, have been snake-bitten by injuries to their offensive line. They now have had three starters suffer season-ending injuries.
Injuries notwithstanding, this is a primetime matchup between two out-of-conference rivals that both need wins to keep pace in competitive decisions. Here is how you can watch the game on Sunday night.
How to watch Steelers vs. Cowboys on TV
The Cowboys will feature in a standalone game for the second straight week. Unlike last Thursday, which was broadcast exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, Cowboys and Steelers fans can catch the action on NBC, which will carry a national broadcast.
MIke Tirico will have play-by-play with Cris Collinsworth as the color analyst and Melissa Stark providing live updates from the sideline.
How to stream Steelers vs. Cowboys
Since the game will be broadcast on NBC, it can also be streamed with a subscription to Peacock. The same can be said for all Sunday Night Football games. Fans can also stream the game on Fubo TV, which offers a free seven-day trial for new users, as well as Hulu + Live TV and YouTube TV.
Steelers vs. Cowboys game details
- Date: Sunday, Oct. 6
- Location: Acrisure Stadium (Pittsburgh, PA)
- Kickoff time: 7:20 pm CT
This is the Cowboys' first road game against the Steelers in eight years. Their last trip was an iconic victory during the 2016 season - when Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott were rookies. Dallas trailed throughout the game, but Elliott scored two fourth quarter touchdowns, including the game-winner with nine seconds left in regulation, to propel the Cowboys to a win.
Cowboys fans will hope for a more convincing win Sunday night, but they will absolutely settle for a last-second winner if it comes to that.
