Cowboys grade for re-signing Rico Dowdle: C+

Rico Dowdle might not be a true RB2, but he proved last season that he could do the job if called upon. He averaged 2.91 yards after contact per attempt while adding value as a receiver. The Cowboys need Dowdle's tenacious running style and he brings added versatility as a core special teamer.

Cowboys grade for re-signing Chuma Edoga: C+

Cowboys grade for re-signing C.J. Goodwin: A

It was great to see the Cowboys bring back Goodwin. Now 34 years old, Goodwin has been Dallas' premier special teamer for the last six seasons. Special teams coach John Fassel must be over the moon that Goodwin is back for another year.
