Fans of the Dallas Cowboys might be starting to get fatigued, but this is going to be a topic of conversation until the reunion becomes official, or Ezekiel Elliott signs with another team as a free agent.

It's unclear if the Cowboys are actually considering re-signing Elliott after they released him this offseason to save cap space. Jerry Jones has stated multiple times that he would love Elliott back, but it takes two to tango and Elliott might have hard feelings after he was cut in the middle of his contract.

While Jones has the final say in personnel decisions, it's more important that Elliott's former teammates (presumably) would take him back in a heartbeat.

Dak Prescott undoubtedly is among those players. He and Elliott were part of the same 2016 draft class and developed a strong relationship.

Whatever happens with Elliott, the return rumors aren't going away anytime soon, as the veteran running back joined Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and other now-former Cowboys teammates for another workout last week.

For starters, it's great to see the offense putting in extra work during summer break. Minicamp concluded last Thursday, meaning the Cowboys are on break until they report to Oxnard, CA. for training camp in late July.

Getting back to Elliott, we wouldn't reach too much into this.

Back in April -- nearly a month after his release -- Elliott joined Prescott, Lamb, Jake Ferguson, Simi Fehoko and Dennis Houston for a players-only workout.

Elliott is obviously still very close with his former teammates and he lives extremely close to the Cowboys practice facility in Frisco. It's unclear where this specific workout was held, but it's not out of the ordinary that Prescott (or whomever) extended an invite to Elliott.

It's actually very common in the NFL offseason that players from other teams workout together, including free agents. Micah Parsons has been at the center of that, having practiced with Bengals wideout Ja'Marr Chase as well as Bijan Robinson, Roschon Johnson and D'Andre Swift in separate workouts.

Perhaps Prescott and company are doing Elliott a solid and keeping him fresh for the upcoming season. Elliott's been grinding in private workouts all offseason, though, so maybe it was a matter of needing another body for practice.

It's all open for interpretation.

What do you think, Cowboys Nation? Does this latest Elliott sighting mean the reunion rumors stand on sturdy legs? Or is it a non-story?
