Following their win over the Lions last week, the Dallas Cowboys have a great opportunity to head into the playoffs with some real momentum. The only thing separating them from the postseason is a Week 18 date against the Washington Commanders, who are making a beeline for a top-three pick in April's draft.

The Cowboys lost to these same Commanders in Week 18 last year, but they were already locked into the No. 5 seed regardless of the outcome. This time around, Dallas has everything to play for, including the NFC East title and No. 2 seed.

All they need to do is win to secure both. That's easier said than done, but reports indicate Washington will sit a number of its veterans. That bodes extremely well for the Cowboys, who could be without multiple starters themselves due to injury.

With that, let's get into everything fans should know about the game.

Cowboys vs Commanders betting odds

As expected, the Cowboys are huge road favorites. They're currently -13.5 favorites on FanDuel, with -104 odds to cover. If you'd rather play it safe and bet Dallas to win the game outright, they're a whopping -950 on the moneyline. The over/under is 46.5 points.
