2. Tony Pollard finally breaks 100 yards, scores another TD

One thing that stood out in the win over Carolina was how much the Cowboys tried to feed Tony Pollard. He was getting the ball on hand offs, pitches, and short passes as they hoped to get him rolling. Eventually that happened and he finished with 61 yards on 12 rushes (an average of 5.08 yards per carry) and 19 yards on four receptions. Pollard even had a long run of 22 yards, finally showing the burst that made him a star.

Most importantly, he finally got into the end zone thanks to a 21-yard run in the fourth quarter. That was just his third touchdown on the season and his first since Week 1, when he had two in a win over the Giants.

Dallas has been able to get their offense moving but the ground game has been a complete mess. Pollard, who is playing on the franchise tag, has 590 yards but the lack of touchdowns has been an issue. On top of that, he’s had just one 100-yard performance, which was way back in Week 3 when the Cowboys lost to Arizona.

That 122-yard output was the lone positive from that defeat but Pollard has yet to truly build on it. This bold prediction is that he’s able to do this after a solid outing in Week 11. On a short week, the Cowboys will lean on Pollard who responds with more than 100 yards and another touchdown.
