The Dallas Cowboys have reeled off two lopsided wins in a row and improved to 7-3 overall on the season. Now, they’re entering the final stretch of the year, which includes their annual showing on Thanksgiving Day. This year, they’ll host the Washington Commanders, who are coming off a big loss to the New York Giants.

New York, who Dallas defeated 49-17 in Week 10, was starting Tommy DeVito for the second time in his career and he threw three touchdowns in a 31-19 win. Washington, on the other hand, had one touchdown and three interceptions from Sam Howell. Now at 4-7, the Commanders are reeling and set to face a red-hot Dallas defense.

The Cowboys were all over Bryce Young in their 33-10 win in Week 11. They had seven sacks and DaRon Bland recorded another pick-six. Now set to take on the struggling Commanders, here are three bold predictions for Thanksgiving Day.

3. DaRon Bland gets pick-six No. 5

At this point, it makes no sense why anyone throws the ball toward DaRon Bland. A fifth-round pick in 2022, Bland had five interceptions as a rookie. Now in 2023, he has another six which is more than any other player has over the past two years.

To make his sophomore campaign even more impressive, he’s also returned four of those picks for touchdowns. That includes one this past weekend against Bryce Young as he helped open things up against Carolina.

In this bold prediction, Bland, who has been shutting opponents down as well, gets another touchdown off an interception. Doing so would not only give him five, but that would be an NFL record. Bland is currently tied with some of the greats such as Eric Allen but can distinguish himself by topping that long-standing record.
