Do the Dallas Cowboys love a last-second win in Pittsburgh or what? The last time the Cowboys visited the Steelers, Ezekiel Elliott broke free for the game-winning 33-yard touchdown run with nine seconds left in regulation.

Whereas that win was a high-scoring affair, Sunday night's rain-soaked game took the form of a dogfight between two struggling offenses. In the end, Dak Prescott lived up to his record-setting contract and played the role of hero on two separate occasions in the final minute.

After recovering a Rico Dowdle fumble on 2nd-and-goal, Prescott threw the game-winning touchdown to Jalen Tolbert on fourth down with 20 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

Playing the WR2 role for the first time in his career with Brandin Cooks on injured reserve, Tolbert finished as the team's leading receiver with seven catches for 87 yards. Tolbert was an unlikely hero for several reasons. He left injured on the previous play, so it was surprising he was even on the field on fourth down.

In real time it looked like Tolbert injured his hand, but that was not the case. Cowboys offensive lineman Tyler Smith revealed exactly what Tolbert was dealing with and it makes the WR's heroics even more incredible.

That is an all-time quote from Smith.

Prescott actually looked Tolbert's way on third down, but the Steelers brought pressure and the quarterback left the pass short of Tolbert. The ball skipped off the wet field and rocked Tolbert right where the sun doesn't shine. It took Tolbert a minute to get his bearings, but a couple of timeouts before the final play gave Tolbert enough time to recover and check back into the game.

After failing to connect with Tolbert on third down, Prescott delivered a pinpoint pass on the game-winner. Prescott silenced his haters by coming through in the clutch, but Tolbert deserves just as much credit for veering back up to the goal line so that when he caught the pass it was a touchdown

Had Tolbert stayed in a straight line on his route, he would've had to catch the pass and reach for the goal line. With a Steelers defender breathing down his neck, it's possible that Tolbert would have been stopped short of the end zone if not for this small detail.

Cowboys fans have to feel awesome for Tolbert. He had a career game on a night the Cowboys needed it and won the game after fighting through some serious pain. It's been a long time coming, but Tolbert finally had his coming out party.
