Cowboys projected to be among NFC's best teams in opening win total odds

The Dallas Cowboys failed to deliver in the NFL Playoffs last season, but the good news is they're locked and loaded to be in contention once again in 2024.

Want proof of that being the case? Well, I have good news for you. Sportsbooks have recently released projected win totals for the upcoming season and the Cowboys once again have one of the highest projected win totals in the NFC.

Let's take a look.

2024 Cowboys win total

The Dallas Cowboys' win total is set at 10.5 for the upcoming season with the OVER juiced to +106. That means there's a 48.54% chance the Cowboys will go at least 11-6 in 2024. An 11-6 record would be one fewer win than they were able to accumulate in 2023 when they went 12-5 in the regular season.

The Cowboys are one of just four teams in the NFC with a projected win total in the double-digits. The 49ers have a win total of 11.5 and then the Lions and Eagles are tied with the Cowboys at 10.5 wins.

The win total could have been even higher if the Cowboys had made some offseason acquisitions like their fans were likely hoping for. The only signing they've been was linebacker Eric Kendricks, who will likely be used as a replacement for Leighton Vander Esch, who announced his retirement after a career that was marred by injuries.

Still, even if the Cowboys don't make any more additions, they'll have no problem putting together another impressive regular season. We all know they'll make the playoffs, it's what they do in the postseason that should concern Cowboys fans across the country.

A 10.5 win total is on the low side in my opinion and I love the OVER at plus-money.
