DaRon Bland sends cleats, gloves to Hall of Fame after record-setting pick-six

DaRon Bland made NFL history on Thanksgiving when he notched his fifth pick-six of the season. Incredibly, Bland tied the record the previous week, so the fact he broke it five days later makes it all the more impressive.

To acknowledge his place in NFL history, Bland sent his game-worn cleats and gloves to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Fittingly, though, the ball that shattered the record will remain with the second-year cornerback.

The soft-spoken Bland told reporters after the game that he's kept every ball from his five pick-sixes this season and that they'll eventually get a trophy case in his home. That's smart, because at this rate it's anyone's guess how many more defensive touchdowns Bland will score over the remaining five games.

He might need a bigger trophy case than he initially thought.
