Micah Parsons hilariously calls out Dak Prescott over gift snub after contract news

Dallas Cowboys fans could not have scripted a better start the season. Slated as underdogs for Sunday's game in Cleveland, the Cowboys flipped the script and beat the Browns by two touchdowns in their own backyard. The score would have been even more lopsided if Cleveland didn't score a garbage time touchdown late in the fourth quarter.

Dak Prescott cooled off in the second half, but he led multiple scoring drives to give Dallas a comfortable 20-3 lead into halftime.

Prescott only threw for 179 yards and one touchdown, but he was an impressive 5-of-8 when under pressure, including a beauty TD to Brandin Cooks that was placed perfectly even though he released it before Cooks was out of his break. With Micah Parsons and the Cowboys' defense pitching the equivalent of a no-hitter, Prescott didn't need to be special.

The 31-year-old was asked about his record-setting contract after the win and he shared how relieved he is that it's done. He also revealed that Ezekiel Elliott was the first person he hugged after agreeing to the deal and that teammates are expecting lucrative gifts in light of the news.

Hoping for lavish watches, Prescott took down several wrist sizes on Sunday. However, Parsons was not among that list and he conveyed his disappointment on social media after the game.

Parsons is obviously joking. However, if he wants a Rolex he should take the initiative to give Prescott his wrist size.

While Dak likely has something special planned for his teammates after securing $231 million fully guaranteed and $60 million annually from the Cowboys, it doesn't sound like he went out of his way to ask for wrist measurements.

All kidding aside, Parsons could not have been more happy for Prescott that he finally got his contract.

"He didn’t cheat the game," said Parsons, via ESPN's Todd Archer. "He earned everything he got. That just goes to his work, his dedication, his craft, everything he puts into it. I can say he's 100% been balling since I got here. Good things happen when you don’t cheat the game."

While QBs typically purchase gifts for their offensive line, Parsons deserves one more than any Cowboy this side of CeeDee Lamb. While Prescott and Lamb were out of sync in the second half, Parsons wreaked havoc for all four quarters against the Browns.

Parsons' nine pressures on Sunday are the most of any player in Week 1 so far. He registered one sack of Deshaun Watson and could've had three more if Watson didn't evade him. He even deflected a pass that was intercepted by linebacker Eric Kendricks.

Whether it's a watch or otherwise, Parsons will make sure that Prescott doesn't snub him from a potential celebratory contract gift. After the performance The Lion turned in against the Browns, he should be among the first players to receive a gift from Prescott.
