Round 2, Pick 56: Xavier Legette, WR, South Carolina

Wide receiver might not be the biggest need on the team right now with CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks under contract but the Cowboys can't pass on the opportunity to add a playmaker such as Xavier Legette should he be available when they're on the clock in Round 2.

Legette boasts an impressive frame at 6-foot-3 and 227 pounds and while he needs to time to develop, he comes in ready to make an impact due to his ability to create yards after the catch. He's also incredibly fast, which is something Damian Parson of The Draft Network focused on when diving into Legette's tape.

"Legette thrives as a big, strong run-after-catch threat. His long speed is outstanding, clocking in at 22.3 mph this season. His speed opens up underneath routes working back to the quarterback. He flashes above-average hip sinkage to pop out of routes like comeback, digs, and hitch routes after pressing the vertical plane initially." — Parson, The Draft Network

The concerns with Legette that allow him to slide into Round 2 would be a limited route tree as well as having just one year of production. After playing sparingly for four seasons, the redshirt senior went off with 1,255 yards and seven touchdowns on 71 receptions.

Landing in Dallas would be as much of a win for Legette as it would be for the Cowboys. He wouldn't be asked to do too much as he hones his skills and can learn from Lamb and Cooks. Dallas could also feel better about parting with Michael Gallup, who has been a problem for two seasons now.
