Wide Receiver (6):

CeeDee Lamb
Brandin Cooks
Michael Gallup
Jalen Tolbert
Dennis Houston
KaVontae Turpin

So many were ready to give up on Jalen Tolbert after he had just two receptions as a rookie but the coaching staff continued to preach patience with him. Tolbert made them look wise on Saturday when he had two receptions for 29 yards and a touchdown.

He looks much more confident than we saw a year ago and should be ready to go if called upon. Even with his improvement, his role could be minimal in 2023 due to the depth at the position.

CeeDee Lamb is coming off a breakout campaign and is set as the No. 1 wideout. Across from him is Brandin Cooks, and his addition moves Michael Gallup back to WR3 where he's best suited.

Dallas goes six deep at wideout with Dennis Houston making the initial cut for the second year in a row. KaVontae Turpin is the final player and he's also the primary return man.

Tight End (3):

Jake Ferguson
Luke Schoonmaker
Peyton Hendershot

After John Stephens, Jr. showed out in Preseason Week 1, it might be tempting to go with four tight ends. Still, Dallas goes with three and hopes to get him to the practice squad so he can continue to develop.

What really stood out in their opener was how comfortable Jake Ferguson was in his starting role. That means rookie Luke Schoonmaker has some ground to cover and will fight with Peyton Hendershot for the TE2 spot to start out his career.
