Defensive line (9): Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence, Osa Odighizuwa, Mazi Smith, Sam Williams, Marshawn Kneeland, Chauncey Golston, Justin Rogers, Viliami Fehoko

The first three are locks to make the team under any and all circumstances. Smith is the favorite to win starting 1-tech given his first-round draft status from 2023. He has freakish traits that would make him a star in this league if he could just reach that potential.

Speaking of potential, Williams is an EDGE whose decision-making often holds him back. As a pure player, he’s a starter. Kneeland as well has high end traits that make him a star for the Cowboys. He’s an all-around player like Lawrence who everyone should be excited about.

Golston has floated inside and outside but fits best as a strong side DE with strong run-stopping traits. Fehoko also has inside outside traits and while he will never lead the team in sacks, he’s a player without clear weaknesses so he has a place on the roster.

Finally, the rookie Rogers gets a spot. The Cowboys need a plugger in the middle and Rogers is just that. Playing to his potential, he could be Dallas’ best run stuffer at the DT position and projects as a new Johnathan Hankins for the Cowboys in 2024.

No major surprises here because the Cowboys haven’t given themselves many options heading into training camp.
