5. Kwon Alexander, LB

Nobody loves a speedy linebacker quite like Dan Quinn, right?

The Cowboys brought in Anthony Barr late in the offense last year, and I can't help but wonder if there's another similar move on the table for the 2023 season. The Cowboys brought back Leighton Vander Esch this offseason, and they have DeMarvion Overshown coming in as an exciting rookie at the off-ball linebacker position. Damone Clark is another speedy option at this position but Kwon Alexander seems really on-brand for what Quinn likes at the position.

Staying healthy had been an issue for Alexander at one point in his career but he's coming off of a year in which he played all 17 games for Robert Saleh's Jets, starting 12. Over the course of his career, he averages 106 tackles, 9 TFL, 5 QB hits, and 6 passes broken up per 17 games played.

Alexander has always been productive and at this stage of the offseason, he would just add some additional speed to this linebacker group as well as raise the floor being a proven veteran at a position with quite a bit of youth.

This is someone Dan Quinn could trust out there to make plays and likely do so for pennies on the dollar given what stage we're at in the offseason right now.
