4. Stephon Gilmore

The Cowboys made another trade for a veteran player. This time on defense with former All-Pro and Super Bowl champion Stephon Gilmore. The move now pairs him up with another former All-Pro corner in Trevon Diggs.

If all works, the Cowboys could field arguably the best cornerback duo in the league. However, looking at the schedule, this move was necessary as the Cowboys will face plenty of elite receivers and quarterbacks this season.

With studs like AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, Terry McLaurin, Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs, and Deebo Samuel -- as well as elite passers like Josh Allen and Aaron Rodgers -- an upgrade at corner was a need. In contrast, Gilmore is on the other side of 30. He is still coming off a season in which he notched 53 tackles, 11 pass breakups, and two interceptions while playing in all but one game last season.

When evaluating the position, the Cowboys have struggled to find consistency opposite of Diggs. However, with Gilmore, Dallas can assure themselves they will field an elite duo and make life difficult for opposing quarterbacks.
