4. Neville Gallimore, DT

2020 was a great draft for the Cowboys. While Jerry Jones sat on a yacht, the club kept turning in one great draft pick after another. Once the dust settled, it appeared they had landed four potential starters in the first four rounds.

In Round 1, it was CeeDee Lamb who has since turned into a star. Round 2 landed them Trevon Diggs who recorded 11 picks in 2021 and has 17 in his first three seasons. Tyler Biadasz has been a fixture at center since entering the lineup during his rookie campaign and was a great find in Round 4.

However, there were two picks between Diggs and Biadisz which were Neville Gallimore in Round 3 and Reggie Robinson in the fourth. Robinson never lived up to expectations and is gone but Gallimore has at least flashed his potential.

In three seasons, he's made 14 starts in 35 appearances with 74 tackles and three sacks. He finds himself behind Osa Odighizuwa on the depth chart and might have a hard time seeing the field at all now with Mazi Smith and Johnathan Hankins handling the 1-tech and Chauncey Golston playing 3-tech at times.

That doesn't mean Gallimore will lose his job, since the Cowboys know how important depth is on the D-line. However, it's highly likely that he's going to find better opportunities on the open market next year when his contract runs out.
